IMPORTANT - Selecting Gas Type

All Bull grills and grill heads come pre-set to the desired gas type. Therefore, selecting the proper gas type when purchasing is important.

(NG) Natural Gas Grill Selection

(Contractor may be required to set up and connect gas line to the grill)

If you already have existing natural gas lines in your home, then a natural gas grill probably makes the most sense for you. Just like water or electricity, natural gas is continuously piped into your home by a utility company. This highly convenient fuel type is perfect for built-in grills and outdoor kitchens. It allows grillers the guarantee that they can cook as much as they want without worrying about running out of fuel. Connecting natural gas to your grill will require a gas line to be accessible near the grill location and may require you to hire a professional.

Natural Gas Grills requirements: Existing natural gas line, contractor for installation, and a gas utility company.

(LP) Liquid Propane Gas Grill Selection

(Contractor not required)

This gas type is for homeowners without natural gas available in their homes or plumbed to their backyard area. Propane gas grills use a standard 20-pound propane tank. These tanks can be purchased and exchanged at most hardware or grocery stores and refilling them is as easy as visiting your local propane dealer. Using portable tanks makes your grill easier to move and the connection does not require a professional installation.

Liquid Propane Grill Requirements: 20-pound propane tank (tank size depends on size of grill) or propane gas storage tank.

Can I convert my grill from one gas type to another later on if I change my mind?

It is possible to convert any Bull grill from one gas type to another. This requires the purchase of a conversion kit and a licensed plumber to install it. Bull can help direct you to a Master Parts distributor to purchase the kit and can offer some recommendations as to who in your area might be able to help you convert your grill.
